#CAFE/PARK

Prochownia Żoliborz- new life of old russian gunpowder works

Żoliborz, the greenest borough of Warsaw is improving it’s cafe&bar infrastructure in a rapid pace. Ongoing year is really fruitfull in that matter. What’s characteristic about newly open places in Żoliborz is that beside being eateries and cafeteria’s they provide space for cultural events, yoga classes…anything that animate local social life. That’s very true about Prochownia Żoliborz a cafe organised in a place that once was a gundpowder works built by the Russians in the 19th cent. as a part of greater military establishment called ‘Cytadela’. Built as bugbear to dissuade rebelious Poles from organising new insurrections. What was considered for a long time as a deadly threat now is a cosy meeting point 🙂

#MUSIC

Legendary saxophonist at Pardon To Tu

Pardon To Tu owners once ironically expressed a thought that if That musician would ever give a performance in their club they would be fullfilled in life and would have no means to continue running a music club. They have no desire to close Pardon To Tu but the dream will come true on 7-8.08 as one of the best european jazz sxophonists Peter Brötzmann will perform twice in Warsaw. Whether playing free jazz or fliring with heavy metal Brötzmann style is always recocnizable by a rough timbre. Great opportunity to enjoy piece of high class jazz.
