Jewish Motifs at Museum of the History of the Polish Jews
 

If you haven’t participated in the Jewish Film Festival „Jewish Motifs” last spring don’t worry, now you have chance to catch up. Jewish Museum projection room will provide space for presentation of 4 movies from the last year programme. „Jewish Motifs” Film Festival is focused on issues like Jewish identity, tradition and history. This Wednesday you can see films from Poland, Germany and Israel.

One of the Polish fans favourite band is Archive. It’s vocalist David Pen collaborates in duo with Mike Bird. Their music is classical rock riffs in the style of Pink Floyd but with this laid-back style of expression of Archive.

Photographic tale about polish gentry of the Second Polish Republic
 

50 photograph’s displayed at The History Meeting House comes from the private collecton of Adam and Jadwiga Czartoryski’s. Family portrait’s, landscapes, photostories depicts the atmosphere of high aristocracy’s life of the prewar period. In the Second Polish Republic gentry had a strong position and great parts of the country were owned by noble families. It has changed mainly as the result of the land reform carried out by the communist government- the land were parceled and members of gentry impoverished or decided to leave the country. See the images of the last generation of people raised in the realities of the old world.
