See Poland beat Scotland… NOT:)

We, Polish people, we love football. But at the same time, we’re pretty skeptical when it comes to believing in our national team’s potential. Ironically enough, it’s been like that especially in the recent years when we should be celebrating loads of goals our super-star Robert Lewandowski scores. Well, he does for Dortmund, he probably will for Munich but he definitely will not score a single time on Wednesday as he’s injured and won’t be playing. If you want to see the rest of our team though (Szczęsny-Arsenal, Boruc-Southampton, Piszczek-Dortmund and so on:) go and visit the National Stadium!

Acoustic tribute to the legend

Grzegorz Ciechowski was the leader of Republika, a rock band from 1980s that undisputably has cult status in Poland. He died 13 years ago at only 44 and, as cynical as it may sound, we know that dying young helps the legend live on. Anyway, Ciechowski’s songs are really worth getting to know. If you like, try their acoustic, live version, arranged for cello and piano at a trendy downtown bar.
