#EXHIBIT

There’s always tomorrow!

We like to tell our Orange Umbrella guests that Warsaw is a dynamic city. Want to see this for yourself? In his most recent exhibit, renowned Polish photographer Tadeusz Rolke offers an insider’s scoop into everyday life of newly reborn Poland after the fall of communism in 1989. The „Jutro będzie lepiej” („Tomorrow Will Be Better”) exhibit in Le Guern Gallery consists mostly of non-commissioned photos from Rolke’s private archives, and those taken for the Western press. Omnipresent advertisements, vendors offering merchandise from car trunks and camping beds, and „parachute architecture” in the form of food and shop stalls were all common sights in the early 1990s, when most of these photos were taken. We’ve come a long way, right?
