Novika is definitely a big name in Poland. This talented vocalist and DJ plays a blend of deep house, dubtronica and deep techno but is also known for other projects, such as developing new talents and producing music. If you haven’t had an opportunity to listen to her electronic sounds during the biggest festivals in Poland (like Heineken Open’er) and countries like Paris or Japan, you can catch up in Warsaw this Thursday!

Asian sounds on a cloudy day
 

The WUJek Festival features the most interesting, most creative and most original alternative music in Poland. Since the first edition in 2001 the concert has promoted some of the most influential musicians in the country. This week, Igor Spolski & The Dudes – Cel – Ne- Pal will present a mixture of sounds and pictures created during Igor’s trips to Asia, which form a unique travel blog. The band plays acoustic instruments, many of which are rare in this part of the world. And don’t worry about the weather – if it rains, the concert will take place indoors!

Łazienki – a museum that is actually a park
 

You should not miss one of Warsaw’s greatest attractions: Łazienki Royal Park and Residence. One of the biggest city parks in Europe hides a true pearl of Warsaw neo-classicism: Palace on the Island, a former bathing pavilion redesigned as a summer residence of the last of Polish kings.See the neoclassical summer palace of the last king of Poland, visit his theatre in the Old Orangery and don’t forget to bring bread for the coyfish and nuts for the (red) squirrels and the peacocks! The entry to all historical buildings in the park is free of charge on Thursday!
