Cool down with “chłodnik”!

Polish cuisine boasts an infinite number of soups, ranging from traditional sour-rye („żurek”) that works wonders on rough night maladies to summer soups that actually cool you down. The latter are known as chłodnik or cold soup and are a must when in summertime Poland! Most Polish cuisine restaurants serve them – we recommend Specjały Regionalne (Regional Specialties) at ul.Nowy Świat 44 or Pasja Smaku (“Passion for Taste”, ul.Żytnia 64) run by a third-generation butcher and head of the butchers’ guild of Warsaw. If you’ve already tried the traditional beetroot chłodnik, we recommend to try other variations of the cold soup: avocado&lime, strawberry&watermelon and tarator, the Bulgarian take on the dish. Intrigued? Head to the Bastylia creperie at „Hipster Square” (official name: pl.Zbawiciela) and enjoy!

#SHOW

Multimedia fountains

One of Warsaw’s newest attractions is the Multimedia Fountains Park, just down from the New Town Sq. Ok, it’s not sophisticated art but who can resist the charm of water, lights and music? Oh, and lasers, too! Every summer season the weekend show theme changes, this year the program is called ‘Water Symphony’. The fountains park is one of the best spots in Warsaw to admire the night panorama of Warsaw, too!

#PARTY

Ahoy, party sailors!

This summer season, the best parties in Warsaw happen by the riverbank. Navigate the dancefloor at Cud Nad Wisłą (now in its second location) and sweat it out to summer beats. Expect a medley of music styles from Radical Dancefloor Killers, including electro-swing / balkan-tech / nu & italo disco / mashup / bass / trap / moombahton / intelligent-house / chill-wave / tribal-dub / river-dance. Just don’t swim in the river afterwards, even the mermaid won’t save you!
