# CONCERT

Baroque Organ

Live concerts with the use of the amazing Baroque Organ of the Church of St. Anne (each lasting about 30 minutes) will be performed by an outstanding Polish pipe organ player, Przemysław Kapituła as well as – at times – Michał Sławecki and Kamil Steć. Each concert will be a chance for audiences to listen to the most prominent musical creations of the Baroque period (among them, the most famous composition for pipe organ, Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach as well as a composition by Mieczysław Surzyński, a legendary pipe organ player of the Warsaw Archsee, called Polish Bach). The artists will perform clad in Baroque attires!

Reconstruction works of the pipe organ, dated at the turn of the 17th and 18th century, finished in 1992. The sound of the organ is excellent, we travel back in time and listen to sounds created 300 – 400 years ago. And this feeling is even more intense thanks to the artists’ authentic virtuosity and the amazingly beautiful Baroque interior of the Church of St. Anne. The whole experience is one of truly top quality: beauty, ubiquitous harmony, Baroque splendour. For all these reasons, it is definitely worth to listen to the concerts within the series.

#CONCERT

Geeta & Lil Ironies

On 10 September a well-known Warsaw alternative music club “Wypieki Kultury” situated in arty Praga districty invites you to the concert of Geeta and Lil Ironies.

Geeta is a vocalist, producer and poet based in Montreal. She describes the sounds she creates as real, delicate and raw. Geeta draws inspiration from freedom, craziness, people, art and life. The artist plays live on all kinds of stages, from clubs to theatres to fashion shows to large festivals. Her performances are powerful, trance shows combining electronica with live instruments as well as surreal poetry with expressive and melancholic singing. Geeta’s vocal skills are truly impressive and she uses her voice as an additional instrument; applying analogue effects, she creates colours, textures and dreamlike soundscapes. The artist has collaborated with numerous creators active in the field of music, film and video art. She has performed live within various events, such as Glastonbury Festival, New Cinema Festival and Fringe Pop Festival, to name but a few. Quebec Council of Arts supported her with a grant she used to finance the creation of a theatre music project. In 2013, she was invited by Armenia Arts and Cultural Studies Laboratory to collaborate on a music production project in Yerevan. In Montreal, Geeta collaborates with Art and Muse choir.

LiL Ironies are a totally new phenomenon on the world scene of alternative music. Their sounds are a juxtaposition of retro aesthetics with contemporary sounds – and all this on a musical basis resulting from the artists’ fascination with various genres, from drum’n’bass and dubstep to avant-pop to achievements by creators of minimal music.
