#EXHIBITION

The city of change

Every time we see the pictures or movies, shot in Warsaw 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 years ago, either those taken by pros or found in our families’ archives, we just cannot believe how much this city has changed… like you almost cannot recognize Warsaw if you missed a few years in it! Another chance to see the proves for that is a new exhibition of photographs by Zbyszko Siemiaszko, who worked for the “The Capital’ magazine for years. We guess that almost everybody who visits Warsaw takes a stroll in the Royal Route – and this street is a theme in the presented pics. Check the differences in the spots you have alraedy seen! On the other hand, look at the people he portraited – we had hipsters in Warsaw far before Ray Ban has introduced its flagship Wayfarers. Compare what you see today with what you’d have seen 20 or 50 years ago. For us, Warsaw buffs, it’s a mind blowing experience. Descriptions both in Polish and English!

#FILM #SPORTS

Frisbee and moviee

Plac Zabaw is one of our favourite spots this summer: even in the middle of the week you can expect loads of entertainment around (not to mention an opportunity to have a drink!;) On a Tuesday afternoon the guys at Plac Zabaw (translated as ‘Playground’) invite you to take part in an open training of Ultimate Frisbee (5pm). And after you really get tired, see a film! What Difference Does It Make: A Film About Making Music is a fascinating documentary about music and… well, making music:) Let Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Giorgio Moroder, Erykah Badu, Nile Rodgers, Rakim, Skream, Q-Tip, Bernie Worrell, Egyptian Lover, Ken Scott, Thundercat, Richie Hawtin, James Murphy, Debbie Harry, Stephen O’ Malley tell you about it!
