Impro Evening

Another occasion to admire improvisation musicians of Warsaw’s jazz scene. First part of the evening will be dominated by enormously talented self-taught musicians. Jan Małkowski-the saxophonist, want’s his music to remain at the level of “childish scrawling and spontanious dance”. He’ll join forces with Dominik Mokrzewski,a drummer, philosopher and school teacher fascinated with polyrhythm and improvisation. Second part of the evening is reserved for a composer, percussionist and piano player Ramezz Nayyar educated in London. His compositions and playing style resembles the vitality of Igor Stravinsky’s early pieces while some listeners hear Chopin’s influences. Prepare for a blast of unexpected but fantastic sounds!
