Zachęta

Zachęta – National Gallery of Art is the biggest and the most-attended contemporary art gallery in Poland. Situated in the centre of Warsaw, the main aim of the gallery is to present and support primarily Polish contemporary art and artists. With numerous temporary exhibitions of well known foreign artists, the gallery has also established itself internationally. The Polish term ‘zachęta’ can be translated as encouragement or motivation and refers to the Towarzystwo Zachęty do Sztuk Pięknych, the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts founded in Warsaw in 1860. This Thursday you can admire the works of Flo Kasearu, one of the most talented Estonian artists of the young generation.
