Live drums summer party!
Rhythms from Brasil played by musicians from Netherlands and Poland under the open sky in the heart of the city – what do u need more to dance your ass off? Ritmolanada is a Dutch batucada group which visits Warsaw every year to learn and work together with the best Polish drum band – Ritmodelia. The powerful sound of joyful batucada and it’s ethnic feeling will lead you into energetic bouncing as live drums always make U follow the rhythm. Come and check the Polish exotic flow 😉 Last year the party finished at 6am !

Lado for summer
Lado ABC is a Warsaw-based music label founded in 2004 by a community of musicians. Publishes artists including Mitch & Mitch, Paula i Karol and jazz pianist-bandleader Marcin Masecki. Releases music from genres including rock, jazz and electronic music.(The A stands for electronic music, dubs, noise and similar things. The B represents guitar music. All kinds of it, from classic rock ballads through funk to grind core. The C stands for jazzy, improvised and acoustic compositions, as well as film and classical music.)
Lado ABC is a curious, positive phenomenon on the Polish music scene. The enterprise was started by friends focused on making music, not profits. A glimpse at playlists of major Polish radio stations shows what sells and differ greatly from what Lado offers. Not many people listen to formal experiments merging distant genres or niche compositions of modern classical music. That doesn’t concern the musicians behind Lado. They want to make music on their own terms and in their own style, without compromising to commercial requirements. Since they couldn’t find a place where that would be possible, they’ve created one of their own accord.
This Thursday you can listen to a few interesting projects. Our pick out of free acts is Awesome Tapes from Africa, a NY based dj who promotes music you can hardly ever get – brought from distant villages and cities of Ghana and Zimbabwe, often on a tape, and showing a true to the core African music. Supported by Pictorial Candi, a indie -low fi project and post-math-rock Kristen, they will provide a perfect combination for a long party night!

Baywatch!
David Hasselhof’s birthday is a good opportunity to drink and celebrate the times of our youth, the infamous 1990s, with all its kitch and awesomness. So you just hang out in a popular bar, some interesting people from Warsaw media and theatres will be there as well, and David will watch us all from the screen so you’ll remain perfectly safe!
