#MUSEUMS
Warsaw Rising Museum
The 1944 Warsaw Uprising was one of the biggest acts of resistance against the Nazis in Europe during WWII and led to almost complete annihilation of the city. This interactive Museum tells the story of tragic events of August and Spetember of 1944 in an innovative way, taking you on an enthralling journey through the history of Warsovians’ struggle for independence. It’s also one of the very few museums in Warsaw open on Mondays. What’s more, on this particular day, it’s free of charge.

#EXHIBITION
In 1947, a study tour from the US visited Warsaw and other Polish cities to see the rebuilding process taking place all around the country. One of the participants was Henry Cobb, architecture student who went on to become head of Architecture Department at Harvard University. Cobb’s impressive color photographs of post-war Warsaw render the scale of Warsaw’s destruction in a much more powerful way than any black&white images. Definitely a must!
The exhibition is open until April 30th
