If they were British, NME would love them:)

Uniqplan is a youg Polish band preparing to release their debut album ‘Wilderness’ in spring this year. Their music, strongly inspired by 80s new wave combines guitars and electronics, and good lyrics in English. If you’d like to see those who might conquer Europe’s summer festivals somewhere around 2014-2015, go and see them at Hydrozagadka!

Woody Allen’s oldies (and newbies:) at Przystanek MDM

MDM (which is an acronym for Marszałkowska Housing District) is a pearl of Warsaw’s socialist-realist (or to make things simpler: early communist) architecture. That should be a reason in itself to go and visit but how about end your walk at Przystanek MDM, a cosy bar where every January, February and March Wednesdays you can watch a Woody Allen classic absolutely for free? This time it’s ‘Hollywood Ending’.

Happy b-day, Mr Chopin!

Frédéric Chopin was born… well, what is sure is that it was 203 years ago but the precise date is unclear it was either on 22 February (as the composer’s family claimed) or 1 March (according to documents). You can’t imagine a better situation for the celebration-loving Poles! In order not to make any of the dates more important, we celebrate the whole week long! Don’t miss this week’s special concerts! Click the links below for a full progremme and maps with concert locations.

Where: Centralna Biblioteka Rolnicza or Chmielna St. or Pałac Tyszkiewiczów-Potockich
