Those of you who have no idea who Gonzales is: do you remember that Sony advert with thousands of colour balls running down the street? And the music in the background?:) If you’re into such intimate, warm songwriting then Twilite should be your choice. Rafał Bawirsz and Paweł Milewski compose and perform their acoustic guitar-based tunes and both their records and gigs are definitely full of charm and emotion.

Chopin Museum
If you are interested in learning more about the life and work of one of the best composers in the world, you can’t miss this modern museum. Opened only in 2010 (for the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth), it is an amazing journey through Frederic Chopin’s early days in Żelazowa Wola and Warsaw and his great career in Paris. Multilingual audioguides will help you follow the exhibition without getting lost. Tuesday is when you don’t pay the entrance fee!

Visit original medieval cellars!
Centrum Interpretacji Zabytku (the Heritage Interpretation Centre), located in original gothic cellars of Old Town houses, has just opened and is presenting an exhibition about the WW2 history of the Old Town. See shocking pictures of the destruction and amazing effort of those reconstructing it in the 1940s and 50s.
