Finnish houses marching!

Just a few hundred meters from the Polish Parliament, you will discover a true and most unexpected treasure: a small village with traditional country-side like Finnish houses. The village was built after World War II and was a gift from the Soviet Union, who first received it from the Finnish government (it’s a long story…). Now, the Finnish village’s life is endangered – the land which it occupies is very expensive so many construction companies would love to see their luxurious apartments replacing the quite village. So soon this treasure may be gone for good! But local people are not giving up! This Thursday they will march wearing Finnish house costumes they have been working on during the last days! They want this event to support their call for an open discussion about the future of that unique settlement in the heart of a European capital! So, when you see houses walking by, instead of panicking that you are just experiencing hallucinations, join the activists!
