All-you-can-eat Russian brunch

Polish cuisine was heavily influenced by Russian ideas (if you’ve been on our tour, you’ll remember Warsaw was under Russian rule for over a century, so this did not come out of nowhere). This Sunday, head to Leniviec to experience some of the best of these, including blini with salmon and cream, gherkins or pickled cucumbers, smalec (pork lard you might already be familiar with), honey cheesecake and racuchy (apple pancakes). Be sure to come hungry – smacznego!

#CONCERT

Longest birthday party ever!

When was Chopin born? You won’t find an answer to this question even in the museum devoted to him. His mother claimed it was the first day of March, while church registry states it was February 22nd. Because no one will ever know the truth, Warsaw throws its most famous male resident a week-long birthday party – between February 22nd and March 1st you will have the opportunity to attend a number of free Chopin concerts held daily in various locations around the city. This Sunday, head to the former department store „Bracia Jabłkowscy” at Bracka 25 to hear two concerts at 5 and 5:30 PM by Joshua Kelly and Gavin Doyle, respectively. And in the evening, head to Skwer, a club just opposite from where Chopin left Warsaw for good in 1830, to hear Polish musicians (Artur Dutkiewicz Trio and Miód) present their take on the famous romantic era composer’s music
