#EXHIBITION

Warsaw Photo Days opening night

Festivals organizers write: „Warsaw Photo Days were born in 2013. The Festival is designed as a place of meetings and presentations of various forms of photography, both from a historical perspective and that of contemporary activities. The theme of this year’s edition of the festival, is broadly understood IDENTIFICATION.
The exhibition “Signature” is an attempt at documenting artists’ “experiments” in interfering with their works, starting in the 1960s and moving towards the present. Keep your eyes open for the works of such famed Polish photographers as Łódź Kaliska, Natalia LL, Andrzej Partum and Józef Robakowski.

# PARK

Łazienki – a park that’s actually a museum (or vice versa)

You should not miss one of Warsaw’s greatest attractions: Łazienki Royal Park and Residence. This probably is the last moment to see Polish golden autumn”, as we call this time of the year.
One of the biggest city parks in Europe hides a true pearl of Warsaw neo-classicism: Palace on the Island, a former bathing pavilion redesigned as a summer residence of the last of Polish kings.See the neoclassical summer palace of the last king of Poland, visit his theatre in the Old Orangery and don’t forget to bring bread for the coyfish and nuts for the (red) squirrels and the peacocks! The entry to all historical buildings in the park is free of charge on Thursday!
Where: Łazienki (Royal Baths) park, ul.Agrykoli 1
Map: click to open
When: 9am-8pm every day
How much: free admission to the park every day, free admission to all museum buildings on Thursdays

#CONCERT

(Still) our favorite Polish band in concert

Pustki started out over a dozen years ago and made it big as an indie act, all the while staying true to their roots. They sing in Polish, but the music defends itself and they’re definitely one of the “undiscovered” acts to the international audiences.
Come early for their concert and you’ll get to check out Beneficjenci Splendoru, a bizarre electroning Polish act that will get you in the groove even if they also sing in Polish!

Where: Stodoła, ul. Batorego 8
Map: click to open
When: doors open at 7PM, Beneficjenci play at 8PM, Pustki at 9:20PM
How much: 42 PLN
