The Museum o Hidtory o the Polish Jews is about to open it’s permanent exhibition next month thereore cultural offer o this institution starts is getting richer and richer. On Sunday we recommend a concert of jazz-improvisational music. On the scene we’ll Malerai trio (Michał Górczyński-clarinet, Dagna Sadkowska-violin, Mikołaj Pałosz-cello) accompanied by famous pianist Marcin Masecki and Hanna Goldstein who’ll sing an avangard yiddish poetry written by Ahron Yermiyahu Taub.

End of the season for Chopin summer concerts
Chopin Concerts in Łazienki Królewskie have been organized by Fryderyk Chopin Association for over fifty years. The concerts take place in the summertime, by the composer’s monument in Łazienki Królewskie in Warsaw. The musical meetings take place from May to September, weekly, on Sundays (at noon and 4:00 pm). Each and every edition of Chopin Concerts proves to be one of the greatest cultural attractions of the capital city.

Warsaw Legends
Legendy Warszawy is a cycle of concerts dedicated to memory of some great personalities of varsovian music scene. This sunday you can hear some pieces composed by Władysław Szpilman (1911-2000). Before the war he was emplyed by polish radio. On September 23rd 1939 he played Chopin during the last broadcast of the polish radio. He was in the middeof the piece when german bomb fell on warsaw’s power plant and radio went silent.He described his war experiences in the book “The Pianist” screened by Roman Polański. After the war he got back to his work in the radio, wrote 500 song and organized first edition of Sopot International Song Festival.
