#OUTDOOR ACTIVITY

Here comes Flower Power!

So, it’s finally spring! How can we be so sure? The Botanic Garden is officially opening up after a long and cold winter! The garden, although small, is one of the oldest institutions of this sort in Poland. Opened 200 years ago, it has only allowed generations of Varsovians to learn more about more or less exotic plants, but has also become a beautiful and cozy place, where time has stopped long ago. If you plan to go on a walk to Łazienki Park this warm Saturday morning or afternoon, stop by at the located nearby Botanic garden. See spring at its best!

#DEMONSTRATION

Atheists on Parade!

Most of you probably know that over 90% of Poles declare that they are Catholics. Out of those remaining ten percent there is a small group of atheists who have come to our city to attend a three day congress called the Warsaw Atheist Days. This Saturday, they will be organizing a big Atheist March in the streets of Warsaw, the main «attraction» of which will be a reconstruction of a historic event, which took place in Warsaw in 1689 – a public execution of Kazimierz Łyszczyński, sentenced to death proceeded by tortures for being an atheist and publishing a work entitled «De non existentia Dei: (The non-existence of God). The organizers expect about 1000 persons to participate in this event. How many people will come protest against the march – nobody knows. Regardless of whether you are a Catholic, atheist, buddhist, hipster, this event will definitely be worth seeing!

Where: between Krakowskie Przedmieście (starting from the Copernicus Monument) to the Old Town Market Square
