#FOOD

Eat veggies!

Food trucks are taking over Warsaw. Allegedly, there’s over 100 of them roaming the streets of Polish capital now and some of them serve nothing but plants:) This Saturday head for Saska Kępa (nearby the National Stadium) for the Vege Foodtruck Festival to try meatless burgers, rice sour cream but also everlasting classics like hummus or falafel. There will be also vegetarian farmer’s market on the spot. So save a chicken’s life this weekend and try some veg delicacies!

#EVENT

Wisła day

Yes, we have a soft spot for Wisła (the Vistula) but most locals seem to have. This is why the city government organizes an annual Wisła Festival which comes this Saturday! The activities and events will take place in different places along the riverside but what we especially recommend is the evening concert of Mamadou Diouf & Sama Yoon Yoon (8pm, Sezon) and the night boats parade on the river (7pm) accompanied by live music by a Polish jazz classic Włodek Kiniorski.

Hear KARI sing and fall in love

KARI is a Polish singer-songwriter often compared to Lykke Li or Bat For Lashes who has just released their second album. Her songs are melodic and mysterious, rhythmical with influences to the 80s scene but also subtle and atmospheric. Her concert at Plażowa (a modern pavilion on a beach nearby the National Stadium) is your opportunity to see an upcoming local artist who may be the next big thing also in your country: she sings in English and has already gained some support from BBC Radio 1!
