#PARTY / #DRINKING

Dancing – Polish style

If you look up the building opposite the one where the bar we’d like to send you to is located you’ll see an old neon sign saying: dancing. It’s an old-school Polish term for a disco/club and the party we recommend will bring back the atmosphere of the times when dancing took place at a ‘dancing’:) Double Trouble is an experienced duo of djs who have been running their rock’n’roll/bigband jazz nights in various venues across Warsaw. This time they’ll be playing some 50s-to-70s standards at Zamieszanie, a new cocktail bar located in the building that used to serve as Polish communist party HQ. Don’t think twice and travel back to the times when the ‘dancing’ sign was still on!

Pachanga Boys at 1500m2

Rebolledo and Superpitcher – they’ve met through Kompakt, a label publishing electronic music. Have you ever wondered what a cross between Mexican spirit and German precision may sound like? Much better than you could imagine! The two guys, after they started working together as Pachanga Boys, launched their own label, Hippie Dance and they continue charming their audiences with a mix of hypnotic rhytms and sexy vocals. They totally stole Varsovians’ hearts when performing this summer at Plażowa, now it’s time for their club debut in town!

#SHOW / #STREET THEATRE

Beyond Time

Akt is a theatre group performing mostly in the streets, combining elements of acting, dance and circus in their shows, all that deeply set in steampunk atmosphere. This Friday you get a chance to see their ‘Beyond Time’ performance, described as a metaphor of a journey in space and time leading you into the depths of your own imagination. The show will take place in the small courtyard of the University of Warsaw: walking down Krakowskie Przedmieście from the Old Town, go past the main gate of the University and enter the next one between two bookshops.
