Chopin Museum
If you are ineterested in getting to know better the life and work of one of the best composers ever, don’t miss this modern museum. Opened only in 2010 (for the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth) is an amazing journey through early days of Frederic Chopin in Żelazowa Wola and Warsaw and his great career in Paris. Audioguides in various languages help you to follow the exhibition with no problems. Tuesday is when you don’t pay the entrance fee!

1950s Warsaw, Poland and Europe in Władysław Sławny’s photographs
Władysław Sławny, director of the weekly “Świat” (‘The World’) published his press photos mostly in 1950s. Visit the exhibition to have a look at what a PGR Farming Cooperative ball looked like or how the Nowa Huta steelworks in Kraków was built.

Sutari at Barometr
Polish alternative scene is going through a revival of interest in folk music. Sutari is one of bands largely inspired by musical tradition of Polish countryside and they combine this tradition with their 21st c. sensitivity. Hear the songs our great-great-grandparents may have sung performed with a completely modern feel.
