#CAFE
Pre-war vibe in one of Warsaw’s prettiest cafes
If you can’t afford to stay at the famous Bristol hotel, be sure to at least visit their stylish art-deco café, inspired by Viennese coffehouses. The café is located in the ground floor of the hotel, almost next door to History Meeting House. Find a window seat and enjoye whiling away the time over coffee or one of their trademark cakes!

#FOOD
Haut cuisine for (almost) bargain prices
If you want to explore the innovative high-class Polish cuisine, there’s no better place to do it than in this high-end restaurant on the 4th floor of the coffin-like building known as Vitkac. Get a lovely view of Warsaw from the top floor and come hungry – the restaurant serves small portions of molecular gastronomy creations, but 50 PLN will get you 5 (that’s right: five) delicious courses. Come here if you like surprises, as the menu will only list ingredients, but won’t prepare you for the form. Last time we checked, one of the courses include steak tartare made of lamb meat served with walnuts (which was followed by cream of carrot and cinnamon, steak in eggplant with polenta, rabbit teriyaki and almond icecream with lime liqour filled candy). Heavenly bliss!

#PARTY
Warsaw’s official New Year’s Eve party
Did you get a chance to see Warsaw’s National Stadium at night time? It looks even better when the Polish-flag-colored lights get finally switched off. On New Year’s Eve, however, expect a different kind of lighting – the City Hall is promising at 13-minute long fireworks show come midnight. The less cool facts: the party won’t actually be taking place AT the stadium, but on the square right outside, next to WARSZAWA STADION train station; a number of artists are slotted to play; we recommend T.Love, Wojciech Waglewski and Abradab from Polish artists, while poppy one-hit-wonder John „will you love me again” Newman will headline the event. Go there for the fireworks and, like proper Varsovians, move on once it’s over!
