In the Heart of the Country” showcases the collection of Warsaw’s newest museum, the Museum of Modern Art. Located in a former furniture store, MoMA Warsaw strives to create a most comprehensive collection of Polish contemporary art. The exhibit just opened last week. Learn why names of Andrzej Wróblewski, Wilhelm Sasnal and Mirosław Balka are worth remembering and stop by the Museum’s Moderna Cafe for quality coffee and books afterwards!

Chopin for Free!
 

Opened only in 2010 (on the occasion of Chopin’s 200th birthday), this tech-savvy museum located in a meticulously restored palace gives an impressive account of the life of Poland’s national composer, Frederic Chopin; from his early days in Żelazowa Wola and Warsaw to his great career in Paris. Multilingual audioguides will help you follow the exhibition without getting lost. Tuesday is when you don’t pay the entrance fee!
