Sarcastic view on Warsaw
You can dislike it but you cannot ignore it. Warsaw is such a city that even when it irritates people it still is very inspiring. The exhibit shows the works send for the international competition for the caricature of Warsaw. You will find here insider’s comments on the political situation but also impressions of Warsaw seen from a very distant perspective of a…Chinese artist. Some of the works are just funny, other ironic but all of them giving you the deeper understanding of the city.

Impressive barocco and Picasso
The National Museum of Warsaw is the biggest gallery in Poland. Build in the 1930’s presents Polish art in the context of he European tendencies and some of distinctive and important works that all people in Poland know (ask ANYONE of ‘Battle of Grunewald’ :>) . It hosts also temporary exhibitions which are worth visiting. This autumn if you’re in Warsaw you can admire paintings which represent classical Italian barocco . Monumental works of Guercino presented in the museum came from Poland, Cento and Rome, including one of the most important paintings of the XVIIth century-‘Et in Arcadia ego’

Chopin for free!
Opened a mere 3 years ago, this tech-savvy museum located in a meticulously restored palace gives an impressive account of the life of Poland’s national composer, Frederic Chopin; from his early days in Żelazowa Wola and Warsaw to his great career in Paris. Multilingual audioguides will help you follow the exhibition without getting lost. Tuesday is when you don’t pay the entrance fee!.
