#MUSEUM

Poster Museum

The Poster Museum in Wilanów is the oldest institution of this type in the world. It houses 30 thousand items which represent the history of poster art from 1892 to contemporary times and this makes it one of the world largest collections of this art form. Located in a 19th century riding school in the surroundings of the summer residence of King Jan Sobieski, the museum is a true gem for art lovers. A true must-see!

#MUSEUM

Royal residence and a garden straight out of “Alice in Wonderland”!

Monday is when most museums in Warsaw are closed, with a few noble exceptions, including the lovely summer residence of 17th-century Polish king Jan III Sobieski in Wilanówu (you know, the guy behind the famous Vienna victory against the Ottoman empire, whose namesake vodka is Bruce Willis’ drink of choice). If you’re not a history buff, we still recommend you go there, but after dark, when the palace’s garden turns into a real wonderland heavily inspired by Lewis Carrol’s classic story. Great photos guaranteed!

#SOUVENIRS

Traditional Polish Pottery – and cheaper than usual, too!

You know a Bolesławiec pot when you see one – the trademark blue&white mix has made them world-famous, but head to their flagship store in Warsaw (once you brace the subway construction site obstructions) to see full color palette. Unique, stylish yet quaint and just plain pretty – we think they make for great Polish souvenir.
