#CONCERT

Happy b-day, Mr Chopin!

Frédéric Chopin was born… well, what is sure is that it was 203 years ago but the precise date is unclear it was either on 22 February (as the composer’s family claimed) or 1 March (according to documents). You can’t imagine a better situation for the celebration-loving Poles! In order not to make any of the dates more important, we celebrate the whole week long! Don’t miss this week’s special concerts! #EXHIBITION & #VERNISSAGE

See how much Poland’s changed since the 1990s

“Tomorrow Will Be Better” shows the early 1990s in Poland as captured by the legendary photographer Tadeusz Rolke (born 1929). The stormy period saw the coexistence of two orders: the still functioning culture of the ancien regime (socialist People’s Poland) and the budding life of capitalism, arousing enthusiasm and promising new opportunities. Like every transition period, that one too produced its characteristic phenomena. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention

Tricphonix Big Band-Almost Original

During this concert you will ask yourself “where the hell I’ve heard it before?” many times. Was in a James Bond movie? Or maybe a retro ballroom dancing party? Or at the Gypsy wedding? It’s cool, it’s catchy, it’s original! All the melodies are composed and arranged by the band but inspired with what they really are into right now, including rockabilly, prohibition blues, swing jazz and 70’s rock. These guys are the masterclass. Just wait for their improvised solos! Using guitar, trumpet, tuba, saxophone, clarinet, cajon and accordion they will make you feel like you’re already in the middle of a story although you’ll hear it for the first time. It will make you wanna sing and dance swing so feel free to do so 🙂
