Photographic tale about polish gentry of the Second Polish Republic

50 photograph’s displayed at The History Meeting House comes from the private collecton of Adam and Jadwiga Czartoryski’s. Family portrait’s, landscapes, photostories depicts the atmosphere of high aristocracy’s life of the prewar period. In the Second Polish Republic gentry had a strong position and great parts of the country were owned by noble families. It has changed mainly as the result of the land reform carried out by the communist government- the land were parceled and members of gentry impoverished or decided to leave the country. See the images of the last generation of people raised in the realities of the old world.

Get to know real Polish heroes

The State of Israel recognizes those who risked their lives saving Jews at the time of World War II as the Righteous Among the Nations – in Poland people like that faced death penalty along with their whole families. Learn some of the amazing rescue stories thanks to this temporary exhibit in the yet-to-officially-open Museum of History of Polish Jews. The building’s astounding architecture makes the museum worth your visit!

Pre-war vibe in one of Warsaw’s prettiest cafes
