#SHOPPING / #RIVER

Le farmers’ market

Do you know that it’s the riverbanks that become the centre of attention in Warsaw during the summertime? And even though the temperature won’t even hit 20 this Sunday, yes, that’s already summer for us here in Poland (compare to -15 during wintertime and you’ll get the point:)
This summer, every Sunday, at 511 (the name of the venue and the kilometer from the spring of the Vistula) local food producers will sell their delicacies. Fresh fruit and veggies, fish, meat, cold cuts, pancakes, pierogi, you name it! It’s all natural, fair-trade with a hint of hipster atmosphere;)

Och!Bazar, temporarily located at Znajomi Znajomych, a friendly club/bar/restaurant in Warsaw downtown, will have a significant number of creative Polish designers selling their home décor / jewelery / posters / accessories and much more.

#MUSEUM

Learn the history behind the ‘63 days of glory

The 1944 Uprising in Warsaw (that broke out on 1st August and lasted for over two months before it was ruthlessly surpressed) was one of the biggest battles of resistance against the Nazi in Europe during WWII and brought almost complete destruction of the city. The Museum tells the story of tragic events of August and September 1944 in a multimedia-based way. It’s an enthralling journey through the history of the struggle of the people of Warsaw for independence.

Where: Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego (The Warsaw Uprising Museum), ul. Grzybowska 79

When: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8am-6pm, Thursday: 8am-8pm, Saturday & Sunday: 10am-8pm
