Warsaw 1935

Nazi bombs left Warsaw as little more than a smouldering heap of rubble at the end of World War II.

Now, nearly seventy years later, the charm of the pre-war Polish capital dubbed the “Paris of the north” has been brought back to life for the first time thanks to a new film, using three-dimensional computer imaging.

Whether from the eye of an eagle soaring over the skyline, a pigeon flying down city streets, or passengers on a tram, “Warszawa 1935” invites viewers into the lush squares and parks of the city centre, a vanished world that very few still recall.

#CONCERT & SIGHTSEEING

orthodox vs. lutheran

Listen to a concert of Polish orthodox church music under the astounding dome of Warsaw biggest lutheran church (yes, lutheran, it’s not a mistake).

Even if you are not a fan of Polish orthodox church music (well , who is…) we still recommend the concert, because of the unique architecture of the church which normally is closed for public.

The Warsaw Lutheran Church of Holy Trinity was the highest and at the same time one of the biggest buildings of 18th century Warsaw. The diameter of the dome was 33.4 meters and the height was 58 meters. The huge dome with magnificent lantern tower still dominates the nearby buildings. In the beginning of the 19th century the church was renowned of the music performances accompanying the service. Among the famous musicians, who gave concerts here was Fryderyk Chopin.

The concert will take place in a music club organized in an old vodka factory in Praga district.
