#FILM/MUSIC

11th SILENT CINEMA HOLIDAY

Going to the movie theatre friday evening doesn’t seem to be the greatest idea (especially as silent movies are concerned) but this time it is worth consideration.
First of all projection of the silent picture was not silent! Even though such movies had no soundtrack projection was accompanied by proffesional musicians perfoming live, doing their best to enhance the mood of the picture. Therefore such performers had great impact on final effect. This time all music genres gonna be provided; from cllassic piano to electronic sounds.
Undoubted highlight of this year Festival are Alfred Hitchcock’s film’s made between 1924 and 1929 reconstructed by British Film Institute. If You never heard of “Blacmail” or “Farmer’s Life” now You can catch up with the backlog and enjoy great concerts at the same time!
And one more thing: show’s gonna be preceded by advertisements and chroncles from 1920’s!
